Year 2

Welcome

We are excited to welcome you to Year 2, where your children will be taught by Miss Da Silva and Mrs May. This year is full of exciting learning opportunities as we follow the National Curriculum, which provides a broad and balanced education across subjects including English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Art, and more.

In the Summer term, children will complete the Key Stage 1 SATs assessments in reading and mathematics. To support them, regular reading at home and practising number facts—especially times tables—can make a big difference. We look forward to a fun and successful year of learning and growth!

Our Class Saint: St. Therese of Lisieux

Our Class Saint is St. Thérèse of Lisieux. She loved God in simple, everyday ways and is the patron saint of missionaries and the sick. Her feast day is 1st October, and her life teaches us the Catholic Social Teaching of ‘Call to Family, Community and Participation’ by showing how small acts of love can make a big difference.

What will my child be learning in Year 2?
