St. John Paul II Multi Academy Company
From September 2025, we were immensely proud to be part of the St. John Paul II Multi-Academy Company, a family of Catholic schools united by a shared commitment to faith, excellence and service.
Joining the MAC has strengthened our ability to deliver the very best for our pupils, while remaining deeply rooted in our Catholic identity and local community. Through collaboration, shared expertise and strong partnerships, we are better equipped to support every child to flourish academically, spiritually and personally.
As part of the St. John Paul II MAC, we benefit from a collective vision inspired by Gospel values, where high expectations, mutual support and continual improvement are at the heart of everything we do. Staff work closely across schools, sharing best practice and professional development opportunities, ensuring that teaching and leadership continue to grow and thrive.
The St. John Paul II Multi-Academy was created in January 2014 and takes its name from Pope Saint John Paul II. The Academy is overseen by the Board of Directors who are appointed by the Archdiocese of Birmingham. The St. John Paul II Multi Academy is made up of both secondary and primary Catholic schools:
- Secondary Schools – Bishop Walsh & St Edmund Campion
- Primary Schools – St. Joseph’s, St. Nicholas, Holy Cross, SS Mary and John, SS Peter and Paul, The Abbey, Sacred Heart and Maryvale.
